GodSpa is a day retreat which is offered at my home, providing a quiet place to sit at the feet of Jesus and breathe, free from all distractions.
In Mark 6 the disciples were in a busy time of their lives. Verse 29 states they had just placed their friend John the Baptist in a tomb and they had also been out teaching and healing. When they met back up with Jesus, they were telling him all they had done. The Bible says “they had not even leisure enough to eat.” Jesus then said to them, "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” Jesus knew personally the importance of meeting with God in a quiet place to rest and recharge as He Himself would get away to the mountainside in the early hours of the day to be filled by His Father.
Each GodSpa gathering is open to six women at a time to offer solitude and sanctuary in my home. We serve you and meet all your needs, from providing inspirational materials to shepherd you, a warm opening session to encourage you, to an elegant, scrumptious southern meal, lovingly prepared and delightfully reminiscent of tea rooms of days gone by. Dietary restrictions (diabetes, food allergies, etc) can be included with reservations and we will do our very best to accommodate these special needs.
Each woman will have a private space to commune with her Savior. This protected time is what GodSpa is all about: being still before Him and intentional about being with Him. Attendees are encouraged to dress comfortably and bring their Bible and journal. Slippers and flip-flops are welcomed!
Cell phones, iPods, and other personal electronics are respectfully requested to be powered down during this precious time of intimacy.
